About
Susan Gurung (b. January 5, 2000) is a Nepalese artist based in the UK, known for her impressionistic figurative and portrait paintings. A graduate of Kingston University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Susan creates art that connects viewers to themes of identity, place, and the timeless beauty of life’s simple moments.
Her latest collection, Simple Living, is inspired by visit back to Nepal after five years of living in London. Featuring scenes from Chitwan, where she was born, and Pokhara, where she grew up, the collection invites viewers to pause and reconnect with traditions, community, and the serene rhythms of nature. In today’s fast-paced and technology-driven world, Susan’s art provides a sense of calm and mindfulness. Each painting serves as a gentle reminder to appreciate the richness found in slowing down, reflecting and cherishing life’s everyday joys.
“Creating this art collection has been a deeply therapeutic experience, offering a mental escape from the fast-paced, highly urbanized environment of city life. It’s a journey back to a serene, slower way of living—far removed from the hustle and bustle of modernity.”
